Warranty Information
At Urban X Vans, any known faults or issues are clearly declared at the point of sale, and any items requiring attention are advised and discussed with the customer prior to purchase.
All vehicles sold by Urban X Vans come with a 3 month limited warranty, covering major mechanical and electrical components up to a maximum claim limit of £500 per claim.
This warranty is strictly return to base, meaning the vehicle must be returned to our workshop in Willenhall, West Midlands for inspection and any authorised repair work.
Recovery & Transportation
Customers are required to have their own breakdown or recovery cover in place to transport the vehicle back to Urban X Vans if a fault occurs.
Urban X Vans does not provide collection, recovery, or roadside assistance as part of this warranty.
If recovery is required and the customer has no cover, Urban X Vans may assist in arranging transport at the customer’s expense.
What’s Covered
Major mechanical or electrical failures where the part has completely failed and is no longer functioning.
Parts and labour for authorised repairs up to the £500 claim limit.
What’s Not Covered
Noises, rattles, or parts showing early signs of wear – cover applies only once the part has fully failed and is not working.
Wear-and-tear components (e.g. brakes, clutch, exhaust, suspension, bushings, batteries, tyres, etc.).
General maintenance or servicing.
Cosmetic defects, bodywork, or trim.
Diagnostic costs unless the fault leads to an authorised repair.
Oil leaks, minor fluid seepage, or intermittent electrical issues.
Any faults arising from neglect, misuse, or unauthorised modifications.
Authorisation & Repairs
All repair work must be approved in writing by Urban X Vans before any work begins.
Repairs carried out without prior approval will not be covered or reimbursed.
Labour costs are covered up to £75 per hour for authorised work.
Important Notes for Older Vehicles
For vehicles over 10 years old or with more than 100,000 miles, warranty cover is limited to complete engine or gearbox failure only, where the fault prevents the vehicle from starting or driving.
Minor issues such as engine management lights, warning lights, or wear-related faults are not covered.
Inspection & Maintenance
We recommend that all vehicles, especially higher-mileage models, are regularly serviced and maintained according to manufacturer guidelines.
Failure to maintain the vehicle properly or act on early warning signs may void warranty support.
Sold As Seen (Where Applicable)
In certain cases, high-mileage or trade vehicles may be sold on a “sold as seen” basis at a discounted price. This will be clearly stated and acknowledged by the buyer in writing.
These vehicles are sold without warranty, but your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 remain unaffected.
